What is MOSU?
‘MOSU’ is short name of Morang Sunsari Welfare Society Nepal. It is an institutionalized Social Organization of Nepal and it is working around the globe in connection with its branch committees in abroad.
When was MOSU established?
Establishment of MOSU was initiated in 2001 in Qatar and it has been officially registered in Government of Nepal in 2012 (BS 5 Paush 2068) under social organization act.
Why was MOSU established?
Establishment of MOSU was initiated in 2001 in Qatar by bringing together permanent resident of Morang and Sunsari working in abroad with the primary aim to provide humanitarian support and promote countries culture and tourism to the overseas. Later another aim was added is that to promote and contribute to countries social economic and entrepreneurship by providing support in health, education and youth empowerment.
What does MOSU do?
MOSU mainly involves in following tasks: Social services Humanitarian services Youth empowerment and personality development Entrepreneurship and enterprises development
How is the executive board formed?
General assembly of MOSU is conducted in every two years. The GA elect a executive committee as per the constitution of the this organization. If there is more than one nomination for any/all designations, election is held and members for MOSU’s board are elected. The tenure for every elected board is two years.
Who can be and how to become a member MOSU?
Permanent resident of Morang and Sunsari can be member of this organization either they are in country or residing overseas. The interested person can be member by submitting their application via branch committee or directly to central committee and nominal renew fees to be paid.
Does the membership need to be renewed?
Yes. Every year member need to renew their membership, submitting their application via branch committee or directly to central committee and nominal renew fees to be paid.
How many branch committee does MOSU has and in which country?
As per recent update on 1 July 2018 the following overseas committees are active and working.

How to form branch committee?
As per constitution of MOSU, it is allowed to form a branch committee in different countries, one country allowed to have only one committee which will be endorsed by central committee.

Permanent resident of Morang and Sunsari residing in respected country can be united and form an adhoc committee as per constitution of MOSU. The branch coordination committee will facilitate to form the committee and will coordinate with central committee to authorized and endorsed.
